About an hour ago I finished recording the demo.  So, now it moves on to the mixing/mastering stage.  Hopefully everything will go smoothly.  Things sound good allready, so I doubt that much difficulty will be met.  Hopefully I didn't just put my foot in my mouth....  anyways, yesterday Brian and I got together and did some practicing and recording.  Brian did a solo on the end of Cathedral and I did the bassline.  He also showed me some new riffs that he had been working on and we really came up with a few great and interesting ideas.  I also played some cello today and came up with some interesting ideas that could possibly be incorporated into some new songs.  Things have been slow with everyone else.  We're planning on having a practice this week.

I have officially moved the webpage here to http://lastwillmetal.tripod.com .  I also have added new pics of Brian, Jeff, and I.  More will be on the way in the next week or so.  I will also be adding updates here and there as this webhost has more functionality than Geocities.  We will also be selling copoes of our demo through the website once it is completed.  If you want a copy, contact us when it is done.  First check the albums page, as all the info regarding the demo will be posted there.

There have been a few things going on lately.  I obtained a sonic maximizer.  Secondly, we had a picture session last week.  Hopefully some new pictures of us will be coming to the website.  Also, I have been looking for a new webhost since we will not be allowed to sell our demos via website through geocities.  I have been getting better with bronchitus.  I should be able to put down vocal tracks in a few days with my current rate.  Brian, unfortunately is just getting some sort of illness.  Hopefully he'll get well soon.  Tonight Brian, Jeff, and I got together and did a few things.  First we got Jeff's parts recorded for Cool and Layaway.  I then recorded my lead for Cool.  Then we worked with Jeff and got him somewhat caught up on Earth of Fire and introduced him to Defiler and Brian's "new song".  Over the course of the week Brian and I also wrote some lyrics to Earth of Fire, Plague, Layaway (soon to be called something different), and Brian's "new song".  Things are most definately coming together.  The demo still needs my vocals on Cool, my lead on Layaway, and my lead on Outro and its done as far as recording goes.  I'll keep you all posted.  Happy thrashing!

The schedules that everyone's been having lately have made things difficult to get together and whatnot.  Bass is coming along slowly and is sorta holding the demo back a tad.  I have a cold, so I can't do any vocals right now.  Today we had a practice and worked on some non-demo material.  We worked on Defiler, Earth of Fire, Plague, and an untitled song that Brian wrote.  We also wrote a few more riffs for a new song and I went over some leads in Cool.  We will hopefully have a picture session later this weekend for the demo and website.  Hopefully things will continue to progress well in the near future so that this demo can be completed on schedule.

Yesterday I spent quite a few hours with our new bassist giving him a crash course in Last Will material.  He seemed to be fairly quick in picking up the riffs and what to do.  He even came up with some little neat stuff that I would have never thought of.  Ever since I quit the old band, I kinda let my bass skills fall.  Anyways, we're going to get together this weekend and see how the progress is coming and discuss a few things.  I'll keep you posted on anything new.

Today we finished up Brian's rhythm parts and mine have been long done.  I have begun writing some lead parts and things seem to be coming out nicely.  My playing is not quite what I wish it was, but I think I have come far enough to put something somewhat respectable on the demo as far as leads go.  I will be getting together with Jeff a few times this weekend to go over both songs and some other band related things.  Now that school has started, the crunch is on.  I must work as hard as I can to get as much done as possible over the next week.  In summary, things sound really good and I hope that you all enjoy the demo as much as we enjoyed and sweated while doing it.
