News:

In this section, I will place all news that I have towards this page and band.  Check back every so often to see if there is any news.

Well, its been one hell of a year!  We played some shows and some of you may have seen us out there!  I greatly appreciate the support that you've given us and its been great!  There have been some changes in the Last Will camp which have prompted me to finally update this page.  Our guitar player, Joe Morgan, quit after our April 10th show at Roy's by the Tracks.  It was something we had known was coming and we parted on good terms.  We all wish him the best of luck in whatever he does.  We do have someone to fill his place starting early in May, Jay Brown.  Right now he's in the "how to be a Last Will guitar God 101" class, but once he's ready I promise you that we'll be playing shows and getting out there again.

Things have been rather busy but excelent in the past 2 months.  We completed our summer with 4 shows, the last being a battle of the bands at Saddle Ridge in Station Square.  Definitely a great show.  We are thankful for everyone that came out to check us out and for all the people who have supported us.  We have made the decision to take September, October, and early November off from shows to work on adding some material to our set list.  Right now, with a 35 minute set list it makes it difficult to play shows.  Plague is definitely one of the songs on the list along with a cover of Am I Evil, similar to how Metallica played it back in the day.  Keep checking back!

Well, after some time of practice, we have finally gotten to the point where we have some shows.  To add to it we finally have a drummer perminantly.  Don Krieger, our temporary drummer, had decided to join full time.  That, of course, is a very good thing.  I have taken responsibility as singer and am working on singing and playing at the same time.. which is by no means an easy feat.  At any respect, we have our first show at a private party on July 1st!  I hope to have some pictures and possibly a recording or two from there!

I apologize for the delay in getting news to you.  Due to personal issues Jason Iampietro was let go from the band later last month.  He is an excellent guitarist and a good friend, but we all knew that it was the right thing to do.  In his place we now have Joe Morgan.  He has only been working with us for a couple of weeks but already he is making significant progress.  In the meantime I am working on singing and playing at the same time.  This will definitely get us live faster since we will not have to wait for Joe to get up to speed on all of the songs before we can play them live.  I do suspect us to start playing some shows in June.  We also have a private show planned early July.  I will let all of you know when we actually hit the streets!

We just got a contract with EMI records!!!  April fools!  On a serious note, things have been going well with Don and I do see us going live realistically sometime in the not so distant future.  We just have to clean up some rough edges and then we are ready.  I also have been updating this site, little by little.  Please let me know if you see any blantant bugs with it.  Hopefully if things go well we can get off of this crappy free server with all these stupid banners everywhere.

Things have changed a bit.  We have a temporary drummer (Don Kreiger) working with us.  He is actually along time friend of mine.  Things are coming together rather quickly at this moment.  We will soon be shopping for venues to play some shows.  Everyone has been working very hard for this and I can assure you that during any of our shows we will be giving 100%.  I also have been making some minor changes to the website.  Instead of a complete overhaul in one day I am going to slowly transition things over as I get time.  I hope you all enjoy the new buttons, if you will.  Since the server we are currently sitting on is so slow and screwy I decided to go with something that is more reliable.  If there are any problems with the site, please contact me.

Unfortuantely yet another downturn in the band.  Our drummer, Brian, quit yesterday.  It basically came down to lacking of time.  So now we are looking for a drummer yet again.  At this point things are going so well otherwise that it does not matter.  Jason and Jason are making leaps and bounds improvements and we are slowly becoming a decently tight nit group.  Hopefully within a couple of months we will be going live, drummer or no drummer.  I can gather up playbacks that we can use, but I obviously would prefer a real live drummer.  If you are a drummer and are interested, contact me.  I also updated Eiben's personal part of the page alittle.

What do I say?  I have been extremely lacking in time to update the site.  The good news is that one of the primary reasons for this is alot of work and activity on the Last Will front.  Yes, for once I can say that we are finally doing something!  Here's a brief timeline:

May '06 - I got a new job within USS.  I now work steady daylight Monday through Friday, which means that a life is now possible.

July '06 - Last Will inducts two new members, Jason Eiben on bass and Jason Iampietro on guitar.  Both very capable, but both in need of some polishing.

November '06 - It was agreed, mostly from myself, that Ryan would have to be let go from the band.  To make a long story short, he was having a very short amount of free time.  His main band, Singine, was recording a new album in the studio and this was eating up too much time for him to be any value to us.  I decided that in order to keep the project going and prospects and feelings high and positive it was best to get someone who was simply going to show up, even if there was a lack of skill.  Feelers and ads were put out... tryouts began for a new drummer.

December '06 - After a few tryouts, and many thanks to those who tried out, we decided to go with Brian Piktel.  His drumming is solid, although it will take a little bit of time to get him up to full Last Will standards.  What he lacked in skill he more than made up for in enthusiasm, drive, willingness to learn, and ability to make practices.  He was a perfect fit.

So right now we are doing 1 thing: building and rehearsing our set list for our first live show.  Once we have some material down with the drummer I'll throw a list down here as to what you could expect from the first show.  I'm hoping for our first show sometime in April.  At least that's my guess.  But things are going well and we honestly are seeing the most activity in the band since 2000 - Demos from the Abyss era.  With the addition of the new drummer there is alot of positivity coming out.  We also took some pictures a few days back, some of which are proliferating this website, which is finally somewhat updated.  Anyways, you can also check out our myspace site at: http://www.myspace.com/lastwillmetal

Well, thanks to primarily work, things have come to basically a screeching halt here in the Last Will domain.  On the good side of things, as of mid July, the album Incompletion has finally arrived here at Last Will Studios and is officially released.  For those of you who allready have it, thank you for the support.  For those of you who wish to have a copy, contact either myself or Ryan and we will discuss getting one your way.

Ryan and I are planning to get together in a few days, which marks the first time in approximately 6 months that we have done any sort of playing together.

On a positive note, the next project has been determined.  I am starting writing of a concept album, which has yet to even be named.  At this point in Last Will existance I've come to the realization that we will only be a studio band, so I might as well work on a studio only project.  I'm not sure how things will really pan out, and it might take years to complete, but I hope that it will be done in the next few years.  If I didn't have to work so much or such strange shifts then it would definitely be completed significantly sooner.  In the mean time, keep your pants on and we'll definitely have some great material coming your way sooner or later!
